The figures in these notes are the industry's, for 2026. Not a house chart.
- Album unit
- One sale. Or 10 track downloads. Or 1,000 paid streams. Or 2,500 ad-supported streams. Audio and video weigh the same. Fan uploads do not count. That is the Billboard 200.
- Song unit
- One download. Or 100 paid streams. Or 250 ad-supported streams. Programmed streams weigh less. The Hot 100 also adds radio audience, so the most-played song is not always the most-streamed.
- Weeks at No. 1
- A total, not a streak. Time off the chair still counts in the record. Twenty-three weeks can be broken up.
- A city, not a tour
- The road ranking in these notes is average money per city. A short, expensive run can sit above a longer tour that grossed more in total.
