Still in the ten, after a whole summer of it
"I Knew It, I Knew You" was the No. 2 song of the summer. The week of September 26 still has Taylor Swift inside the Hot 100 top 10.

Billboard's Songs of the Summer chart closed with a country sweep. Ella Langley at No. 1, Taylor Swift at No. 2, Langley again at No. 3. It was the first time country took that list's top three. Swift's "I Knew It, I Knew You" spent the season under a country No. 1 and still read as one of the records of the year.
The Hot 100 dated September 26 does not hand her the chair. The song went to No. 1 in June and is still inside the top 10, fifteen weeks into that run. That is the quieter part of a big year. The song does not have to be first to be the one people are tired of hearing in the store, which is its own kind of first.
The picture is from the Eras Tour in Los Angeles, three years ago. It is not this single. It is a photograph we are allowed to run, and the face matches the name.
