Twenty-three weeks, and she still has the chair

The chart dated September 26 gives "Choosin' Texas" a twenty-third week at No. 1. That is the longest stay at the top since the Hot 100 began in 1958. It moves past Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which had held the mark at twenty-two.
Langley marked the week in public with the number and two words. Twenty-three weeks. Absolutely insane. The song came out in October 2025, entered in November, and first took the chair in February. Other records have knocked it off. It keeps coming back. The weeks are not all in a row. They still count.
It is also the No. 1 song of the summer, and country took the top three of that list for the first time. Her own "Be Her" sat at No. 3. The album under the single is Dandelion, which has already spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The house does not have the record up. The week is hers anyway.
This one is not on the shelf.
