Eighth in the half
Don Toliver's Octane did 1.212 million units in the United States through July 2. That was eighth.

The midyear album list is a narrow door. Octane walked through it at eighth, 1.212 million equivalent units between January 2 and July 2. Drake was one spot above, at seventh. Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl was ninth. Toliver was between them.
Eighth in that company is not a consolation. It is the half. The house does not have the album on the shelf.
The only photograph we can run is from 2017. He is younger in it. The name on the list is the same.
This one is not on the shelf.
